Players withdrawing from the Foothills Grassroots Program at least 7 Days prior to the first scheduled Match of the Season will be refunded their full Registration Fee less a $15 Administration Fee. Players choosing to withdraw from the Foothills Grassroots Program up to 14 Days after the first scheduled Match of the Season will receive a maximum refund of 50% of their Registration Fees. Any refunds issued after the 14 Day Grace Period will be solely at the discretion of the Foothills Grassroots Board Members and will be reviewed on a Player by Player basis.

Teams are finalized about 1 week before play starts. If you still have not received any communication or phone call from your coach, log into your account (the one that you registered with) and next to the name of your child registered THIS YEAR the team name will be to the right of it. If the team is still blank and it is past a week before play starts and you are concerned please contact the registrar for more information. Also included will be your team list and coaches' contact information. 

 
 
I see that you aren't offering U10 House Leagues this season. Is there a reason for this ?? | Print |  E-mail

The U10 player (8 & 9 year olds) is in his/her peak motor skill development growth period and it is our opinion that soccer players need to be developed at this age. The concept of sending the players on the field and not teaching the skills of the game is the reason why most players lose interest in the sport. We want to change this by offering skill development and coaching to enhance the soccer experience for the U10 players playing in our program.

This includes:

  • Extensive coach training, providing the fundamental tools for success
  • Player & Coach Jamborees (early season, mid season)
  • Seeding in CMSA leagues (all levels)

Foothills GrassRoots encourages all soccer players born in 2000 or before to register with the Calgary Foothills Soccer Club for competetive and non competitive soccer.

We need volunteer coaches for all levels. Foothills Soccer Club provides all volunteer coaches with the technical tools to be successful in their coaching experience and has a newly developed coach centric model for player development. See coach job description and all other volunteer positions.
